Your Pie is a pizza place in Blacksburg, VA near Virginia Tech. It is a very clean modern establishment offering pizza, pasta, and gelato. The service was not the best but the food was great.

This week I tried out Pizza Twist in Winchester, VA. They offer traditional pizzas, as well as Indian Fusion Pizzas, and Halal Pizzas. I wanted to try their unique offerings so I opted for the Indian Fusions Masala fries and pizza. I opted for takeout so I did not experience their storefront, though I know they are new establishment.
Brickhouse Diner – Virginia Beach, VA
Brickhouse Diner is a mid-size diner in a shopping center in Virginia Beach, VA. They offer an extensive breakfast menu. I found the service and atmosphere to be very good. However, the food was mediocre.
IJ Canns American Grille – Winchester, VA
This week I visited IJ Canns American Grill in Winchester, VA for a classic American dinner. They have a very spacious and comfortable, yet classy dining experience. The food is tasty, filling, and generously portioned. IJ Canns is a good spot to grab a nice meal with American staples.
Kennedy Center – Grounded Opera – Washington, DC
This week I attended the world premiere of Grounded at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Grounded was an avant-garde, modern opera about the military and its psychological impact on a female fighter/drone pilot. I found it was quite provocative and not for everyone. However, the Kennedy Center was spectacular and I can’t wait to return for another performance.
